Edelweiss Air introduces a new A350 Business cabin

Edelweiss Air has revealed its next-generation long-haul Business Class for the Airbus A350, and the focus is clear: space, calm and comfort designed for real rest at altitude.
The new Business Class cabin will feature a modern 1-2-1 configuration, giving every passenger direct aisle access and a far greater sense of privacy and personal space. It is a layout that aligns well with evolving premium traveller expectations, particularly on overnight long-haul routes where sleep quality matters most.
At the very front of the cabin, Edelweiss is also introducing an enhanced product called Business Class Plus, marketed as the Edelweiss Business Suite. Located in the first row, these suites add privacy doors, creating a more enclosed and residential feel for passengers who value discretion, focus and uninterrupted rest.
The cabin has been designed by PriestmanGoode in close collaboration with the Edelweiss team, as part of the airline’s broader brand evolution. The interior is conceived to create a calm and welcoming environment from the moment passengers step onboard, bringing a sense of holiday from the door while combining contemporary Swiss design cues with warmth, comfort and a strong sense of reliability. Rather than relying on visual impact alone, the design aims to establish a recognisable onboard experience that supports rest and relaxation throughout the flight.
Technology and comfort move in step. Passengers can expect free Starlink Wi-Fi throughout the flight, 4K high-resolution screens with Bluetooth audio connectivity, and an upgraded inflight entertainment system offering more than 400 movies and TV shows. Power is equally well considered, with wireless charging alongside both USB-A and USB-C ports at every seat.
According to Edelweiss, the cabin itself plays a major role in wellbeing onboard. As the airline notes on its website:
“The passenger cabin is remarkably quiet, making sleeping, reading or listening to music even more enjoyable.”
The first Airbus A350 featuring the new cabins will enter service in December 2026, with flights opening for booking from summer 2026. From December onwards, Edelweiss will progressively retrofit its long-haul Airbus A350-900 fleet, with additional aircraft following between January and July 2027. By summer 2027, all A350s are expected to be equipped with the new interiors.
At Sleepflyer, we see Edelweiss setting a thoughtful benchmark with this new A350 cabin. Rather than chasing design headlines alone, the airline is clearly focusing on how passengers actually feel in the air. A quieter environment, increased privacy and seamless connectivity come together to support what matters most on long-haul flights: genuine comfort and meaningful rest onboard.
We can’t wait to experience it firsthand. And if anyone at Edelweiss happens to be reading this, we would be more than happy to share our sleep-focused insights from the very first flight.
